The National World War II Memorial is located on 17th Street, between Constitution Avenue and Independence Avenue, in Washington, DC.
Construction began on the National WWII Memorial in September 2001. It was dedicated on May 29, 2004, although it was opened to the public one month prior to the ceremony. The memorial is a beautiful tribute to all who served in the military during WWII. It is maintained by the National Park Service.
