Welcome, GhostHunter23! A few of us just visited the Egypt Valley Wildlife Area in Eastern Ohio this past weekend. It's supposedly very haunted: http://www.graveaddiction.com/hsalem.html

We have a couple other members from Western PA on the board, I'm sure we can all help you find some places to visit :D

I know of a few haunted places in South-western PA. It's kinda funny since both of them are also haunted attractions  I've played ouija at both locations and one does seem much more active then the other.

The first is Hundred Acres Manor in South Park, about 10 miles south of Pittsburgh. It used to be a pool before it was turned into a haunted house. One of the spirits is named Nicolas and he used to be a life guard there. He protects us from another spirit named Danny. After reading the stories on the site Danny reminds me a lot of Dug: hogging the board and is just plain rude.
Unfortunally, I've only gotten to play at HAM once and I truly doubt I'll ever get to play again. Danny follows my friend Tiny's board so he has gotten a rise out of me once or twice.

The other is Demon House in Monongahela, PA (20 miles south of Pittsburgh.) It's much more active than HAM. During a session we asked how many spirits were around us. The answer was 26! Ofcourse, the house has it's own graveyard even though the only marked graves are the original family's. I acted there during the July preview season and in my room I saw orbs. Tiny, who is also another haunted house actor, saw a little girl in my room. We believe this little girl is the original owner's daughter who died in a drowning when she was very young. One of my best friend's, Deanna, has seen the little girl in her room, which was right next to mine, numerous times. Other people in the house saw her downstairs in the kitchen, living room, and going up and down the stairs. I saw a man in my room and I did not get good vibes from him. I have a few stories from Demon House, both from direct experience and having other actors race up to me and gasp out "Did you see/hear THAT?!" Many other spirits have been seen.

P.s. I hope this doesn't sound like an advertisement, I wasn't trying to do that. But if you want to get your moneys worth, go to Demon House. The actors are better there and you have a greater chance of seeing the real thing! lol.

Both places sound really cool! Are they only open to the public as haunted houses, or do they have other tours too?

I'm pretty sure HAM wouldn't let someone just walk about, but Demon House may. They've had ghost hunters there and the such. I guess you'd have to get a hold of Bill (the owner) and ask. If someone was, it would probably be best if they waited until after the season so as not to interfer with business.

Weatherly Cemetery is supposed to be haunted. I personally haven't gone there yet, but I might go on Halloween.

In Dunmore there are some places that are haunted that they really don't list anywhere. There is an old nursing home that had all electricty cut off years ago and lights still come on at night. Before it shut down people who worked there said it was haunted.

Also in Dunmore Elmherst Blvd. Apparently if you turn you head lights off, drive in a circle three times, and wait where you entered a truck will come form nowhere and start chasing you. They recomend you don't wait for the truck to catch up to you or to get scared because people have gotten scared, paniced and lost control of thier cars, and died.

Ward Hall at Keystone College, I believe is haunted. I took photography classes there in the spring and it gave me the most uncomfortable feelings I have ever gotten. I wasn't until I reserached the Hall three weeks into the class that I found out that it was supposed to be haunted.

West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton during a massive fire hundreds of Tuberculosis patients died and are believe to haunt the place. Again, never went there but I'm supposed to go someday. Teenagers tend to go there to drink and what not.
