I don't think this counts as an awesome story but I had to tell someone.
I recently visited the Cloisters museum waaaaaaay up in the Bronx. It's a medieval art and architecture museum that is super super awesome if anyone ever gets the chance to go you should. I've lived in NYC for 4 years now and didn't even know about it until a year ago. Anyway, it is reputed to have paranormal activity so I've read and heard. Not ghost sightings per se but more eerie feelings. I went for a project in class (we were supposed to experience something we never have before and I think I succeeded). While I was there I treated it as a regular art museum since I'm a museum nerd anyway I was happy just to be wandering around in the midst of all the history. They actually have original architectural structures there like archways from 1500 and doors from 1350 and all kinds of stuff like that so some of the bricks and wood in there is really really old. I wandered through about half of it feeling normal but when I entered the room of old medieval tombs I suddenly got this extremely odd feeling in my chest like it was tightening and i got a little dizzy and had to gather myself for a moment. I don't know what happened but I sure never felt like that before in a museum. So maybe it was something I can't explain or maybe it was completely nothing. Either way it was strange. After I left the room I was fine within a few minutes and it didn't happen again throughout the remainder of my visit. So, yea. If it was paranormal I would be really excited but I guess I'll never really know. Museum was awesome anyway and it does feel different from most museums. That's my little story. hm. Now the real problem is whether or not to include this experience into my project and risk my class giving me strange looks lol.
