I also went to Waverly Hills with Grimshawl's group. It was a good trip and an interesting building. Nothing ground breaking happened while we were there, however my wife had a hair pulling incident (she jumped 10 feet) and we heard possible voices, mostly random words, as well as jingling keys up on the 4th floor. There was a ton of noise pollution from the surrounding city...trains, motorcycles, airplanes, you name it along with plenty of bats. I would recommend checking the place out if you have the chance, it's very impressive.

If we find anything in the audio, video, or photographic evidence collected it will be posted at lostandfoundohio.com. If there is anything big deal I'll probably post it here also.

As far as the hotel thing goes...

They want to turn it into a hotel for paranormal enthusiasts (and anyone else interested in staying there of course). The 4th floor will be restored to the way it looked when it was a TB hospital and will be used for investigations, there won't be guest rooms on that floor. The portions of the building they have restored right now are very well done so if they do go through with the hotel plan it should also be well done.

One of my big pet peeves with paranormal locations is they half-ass things like restoration quality, furniture, or the management really has no idea what they're doing. I didn't see any signs of those issues at Waverly Hills. They seem to know what they're doing.

Here is my take on our trip to Waverly Hills I thought it was pretty active over half of the COGS crew had experiences and we are finding EVPs and even pictures of strange phenomina so far as we go thru the evidence.

Okay, so I have been working since I got home friday afternoon on the Waverly Hills evidence and I now have some of the pics up here

http://www.msplinks.com/http://tmbroadw ... y/album371

This time around I didnt take as many pics as I normally do because I was hefting around my camcorder for around 8 hours almost continuously during the investigation. I learrned alot about video techniques but I am already planning on spending more of my time next investigation with my first love the camera.

So how can I discribe my Waverly Hills trip? Dark, like almost cave dark in some spots, the hallways were especially Stygian on the first and second floors it seemed. The place also had several different atnospheres depending on which section and floor we were on. Tom my partner and his wife Alison were my entire team, COGS had five total teams including us, we had planed to have each team be 4 people but with some no shows and other cancellations we were down a few people the day of the investigation.
I heard more whispering here than on any other investigation yet. I am not sensitive but many times I would heard whipered words, like "hey" and many others I couldnt make out. I have just barely scratched the audio digital files at this point but already have some fine examples of EVPs that Tom will be getting up onto the website soon.

30 minutes into the 4th floor which was our teams first stop I had a personal experience where the sound of jingling keys charged me near the surgery and spooked me enough that I jumped into one of the rooms so as not to be run over! The keys sounds never seemed to pass by me although we did manage to get the sounds of the keys on the camcorder I was holding. I saw nothing the entire time although I did have the sence that something was bearing down on me fast! We searched the immediate area for 15 minutes trying to find some explanation and or to try to get it to repeat itself but without any luck.

Several members of COGS had personal experiences at Waverly, more than half the team had at least one while a few people had multible unusual encounters. Brenden was physically touched in the morgue, he said afterwards that he had always wanted to experience something like that,,, untill it happened. Three of the girls had their hair played with/pulled, Alison had it happen three or four times, the last time her husband Tom actually saw a couple strands of her hair float strait out from her head just before she felt it and jumped!

Our two sensitive members actually became physically ill during their investigation of the 2nd floor and had to leave the building eventually having to give up the investigation altogether.

Many shadows were seen to apear to move, some of them we debunked as being the wind in the trees outside, car lights somehow finding their way up the hill and other asorted mundane sources, a few however remain unexplained. I watched what apeared to be a fullsized shadowman duck into and out of a doorway at the end of the hall with Tom for around 5 minutes before the activity ceased and we walked down to investigate the room, no source for the shadows aparent movement presented itself.

One thing I've noticed about the majority of paranormal activity that occurs is you really have to be paying attention to notice it. I noticed my wife's hair moving around a little and assumed she was just adjusting it herself so I kept on looking down the hallway until she jumped and made it known that she was definitely not doing it herself. I probably missed the actual pull thanks to assuming it was her. It was ridiculously dark in there. What I did see was a clump of strands separating itself from the rest thus why I assumed she had a hold of it.

That is a really cool expeirence you had there. It would have been even better if you would have caught it on film, but just like most of the time, it is those events that you don't capture that are always the best along with the personal experiences.

Sounds great! Had I read this before you went I would've keyed you in on some things to look for... I can't wait to get back there!!!

One thing that had my group puzzled for over an hour was on the roof on the side with the swing. It was easily 65 degrees out that night or warmer, but everybody's digital thermometers were showing 17 degrees and less right around a certain part of the roof. The thermometers worked fine up to that point and fine after that. No idea what caused it because none of us felt the cold anywhere.

Also, I located my old tape from the camcorder I had with me that night and I found the one thing I caught with it... that little boy Timothy yelling "NO!" to the lady with me when she asked him if he liked playing hide and seek. There were three of us, all with something recording. Only I heard it and only my camcorder picked it up. Talk about feeling lucky... although it would've been nice to have somebody else experience it with me. The other thing that sort of sucks is, when he yelled it, it was LOUD, yet it's barely audible on my tape.

I'm going to try to get it put on the computer tomorrow so I can share it with everyone... it's only been several years since it's happened and I'm just now getting around to putting it on the PC... I'll share if I get it up.

Also, here's a link to the page we had on our site for the investigation including EVP's, if you're interested. http://tmghosthunters.com/waverly.html
