I know that this is a little out of the way for most people, but this is a very interesting spot. Widtsoe, UT is a ghost town very near Bryce Canyon National Park and the Dixie National Forest. There's not much left of the town, itself - a few old shells of homes, a "dump", and the cemetery.
Folks are still being buried there in the Widtsoe Cemetery. I suspect they are descendants of former residents of the town, or perhaps just people who have fallen in love with the place. This is a desert landscape, for the most part. There is no lawn - just desert sand and rocks, trees, sage, and scrub brush. The cemetery is well tended and one can always find new adornments at individual gravesites. I highly recommend you try to visit this place. The surrounding scenery is well worth the trip.

I have a few photos of the cemetery from my visit to this area in August 2008. Let me know if you'd like to see any of them.
