I've knew this cemetery was there for quite awhile now and just naturally assumed that it was known. But from what I've seen so far on the site here it is not mention anywhere.{if it is I'm sorry for missing it}.I'm talking about the old Fort Street Cemetery in Nelsonville,Ohio. It located about a block and a half north of the old historical town square.Which you can get to by turning left off of RT 33 there at Rocky Boots.{or right if you're headed west}.The cemetery it self is listed as a historical site and the last known burial was in 1953.Someone went in not too long ago and cleaned it up and put in a plaque out front telling about it.Daniel Nelson {the founder of Nelsonville} ended up being the second person buried there.I took a walk thru it last summer and took pictures but thanks to this old worn out computer I'm using I doubt if I can ever upload any of them on the site here.I think it is worth a walk thru if you're down this way. Later.

Say, could you refresh my poor failing memory?
As you're headed north on 33, with Rocky Boots on your left, you then pass the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway depot, then turn left just shy of True Value Hardware? (I remember it as Lancaster Sales. Shows how old my information is!)
Once you turn left and cross the tracks, how far out is it, right or left?
I'm looking forward to this!!!

OK,I'm sorry if I've confused anyone there. If you are on 33 GOING TOWARD ATHENS and you come to the third light. The old Rocky Boot building is there. If you turn right,it'll take you back around the old building to more parking places. But you turn left and you'll come to the town square. If you keep going up thru the square you'll come to another light and you'll be facing Fort Street. You keep going straight and the cemetery is about a block, block and half from the light.Sorry, when I go to Nelsonville,I take 278 south since I live on 595 and I come out at the first light there across from the Sunoco. Then I usually turn left there onto 33 so I'm going east toward Athens.Hope I didn't confuse you more ever there Sky Pilot.I sometimes confuse myself.Ha!
