The Unity Presbyterian Cemetery is located at the intersection of OH-669 and Buckeye Valley Road outside Somerset, Ohio (Clayton Township, Perry County). The coordinates are 39° 47' 32.4" N, 82° 14' 5.65" W.

Unity Presbyterian Cemetery is small, and it is no longer active. There are many old gravestones, and most are in great condition; only a few have been damaged. The cemetery is very well maintained.

Many of the gravestones have interesting verses carved on them. I noticed three gravestones that were particularly interesting, and not just because of the epitaphs. These gravestones mark the burial place of John, Jehu, and Stephen Saffell; the sons of John and Mary Saffell. The three boys all died between April 7-19, 1839. I read that there were both cholera and smallpox outbreaks in the United States during that time, so perhaps that is what caused their deaths? I would love to do some research to find out what happened.
