On January 18, 2009 I received an e-mail from Sydney M. about an interesting ouija board experience:
My friends Kerry, Laury, Katie, Kelsy, Jessica, Carrie, and Sydney were playing the ouija board. Laury wanted to talk to her dead grandpa. He died about a week after visiting her from Venezuela in surgery. She asked him if her grandma was going to live much longer, and he said no. She asked when will she die? He replied hoy, which means today in Spanish (Spanish is her native language). To make sure it was him, she asked for his first and middle name. He quickly spelled it correctly. Then she asked how many kids he had, and it ended between the 4 and 5. They have 4, but should have had 5 because they had a miscarriage. Her grandma was here visiting from Venezuela, but left about 2 weeks ago and she's getting heart surgery. We asked him how she would die, and he said surgery. We asked what kind of surgery, and he replied heart.
