Saint Paul-Myers Cemetery is located on the east side of Lutheran Church Road, about a ½ mile north of Bauman Hill Road and one mile south of Duffy Road, outside Lancaster, Ohio (Berne Township, Fairfield County). The coordinates are 39° 41' 28.19" N, 82° 30' 58.35" W.
Saint Paul-Myers Cemetery is still active. There are many old gravestones, including several with beautiful carvings that were carved by John Strickler. Most are in good condition, but several of the older monuments have been damaged over the years. The cemetery is very well maintained.
In December 2004 I received an e-mail from Jim B. with some very interesting information about a few of the gravestones located in this cemetery:
"The picture you have labeled as "very weathered gravestones" are actually unmarked sandstone
headstones of Indians who lived in the area and who were converted by the first settlers, in the very early 1800's."
