Saint Paul-Myers Cemetery is located on the east side of Lutheran Church Road, about ½ mile north of Bauman Hill Road and 1 mile south of Duffy Road, outside Lancaster, Ohio (Berne Township, Fairfield County).
Saint Paul-Myers Cemetery is still an active cemetery. It is very well taken care of, and there are many old, interesting gravestones. Don't be scared when you enter the cemetery and hear lots of dogs barking...there are several dogs behind the cemetery, but they're fenced in :)
In December 2004 I received an e-mail from Jim Benson with some very interesting information about a few of the gravestones located in this cemetery:
"The picture you have labeled as "very weathered gravestones" are actually unmarked sandstone
headstones of Indians who lived in the area and who were converted by the first settlers, in the very early 1800's."
That's definitely interesting information, a big thanks to Jim for telling me about it!
