SLevesque sent me the following information about Micanopy Cemetery:

Micanopy Cemetery is located 15 minutes south of Gainesville, Florida and is one of the most silent cemeteries I have been to. Very odd silence - no birds, squirrels, or any wildlife whatsoever, just your own heartbeat and footsteps. I found this cemetery to be very unique with all the wicked Spanish Moss Trees and blooming azaleas. Not a very large cemetery, however, the landscapes make it quite breathtaking and make it appear to be vast. Only one statue in the whole place, but a very photogenic one to say the least. The table that had a "Do Not Disturb" sign made me wonder if they had spell check...pretty interesting statement. I made sure I didn't touch a thing...I hope taking pictures doesn't count as being disturbing...
