On January 1, 2010 I received an e-mail from Sam B. and Danielle H. about an interesting ouija board experience:
My friends (Danielle and Ashleigh) and I decided we wanted to play with the ouija board just for fun. We never took it seriously or thought of any consequences. Danielle and I put our hands on the ouija board first. We started off just fooling around with each other, and just scaring each other. Sometimes we actually started talking to someone, but didn't really have a long enough conversation...or just didn't understand what they were saying. Then we started thinking - if we started taking it seriously, then we could get better results with someone.
We asked it, "Is anyone was here?" It went to yes really slow. "What is your name?" It then spelled out Malcom. "How old are you?" It moved a little faster to the number 8. We finally got into a decent conversation with him, and asked him questions about what he looked like. He told us that he had short black hair and brown eyes, and that he was white. It was kind of weird when he told us that, because when he was describing himself, it felt like I could actually visualize him. Then we asked questions about us that no one else knew. He answered them correctly, and we thought it was pretty amazing and cool. We then asked him if he could guess a number that only one person knew (the person that wouldn't be moving the planchette). He guessed every number correct. This is where we kinda got a little freaked out, but we kept on talking.
We then asked, "How did you die?" He told us that his father murdered him by shooting him. We felt very bad and upset about that, so we changed the conversation into a better one by asking him, "What do you like to do?" and "what was your favorite food?" He seemed a lot better. What scared me a little was that he commented on how I looked like his mother. He said that he really loved her, and that she made him happy all the time. Then Ashleigh and her stupid self had to ask where he was sitting. He replied that he was sitting in my lap. I kinda felt happy that he thought of me like that, but I knew that it wasn't right for me to act as something that I'm not. He seemed demonic or something, not human. So I left for a second to put away my laundry really quick. Ashleigh took my place on the ouija board.
I left and took my clothes out of my dryer, and put them away. When I came back, Danielle and Ashleigh seemed scared out of their minds. They told me that Malcom told them that he only wanted to talk to me, and that if they kept talking to him he would kill them. Danielle told me that we should stop playing and I agreed, but Ashleigh wanted to ask one more thing. She asked him if he could possess people. He went to yes pretty fast. He told us that he only wanted to possess me. She wanted to do it because it sounded like "fun." She kept begging that I do it, and I finally gave in. So he told us that he was about to do it. Then the board just stopped moving, and we sat there in silence.
After 5 minutes I felt this really cold chill all throughout my body. It felt weird, like someone was going through me. I looked up at my friends, but when I looked at them, they looked kind of...different. They seemed scarier. They noticed that I was kind of staring at them in a weird way, and they asked if I was Malcom. I told them I was still here. Then we went to the ouija board and asked what happened. He told us that he didn't have enough energy for it. Then after that, we told him that we had to go. We told him goodbye. But ever since that time, I've talked to him and I've had crazy and weird things happen to me and Danielle. I'm not sure about Ashleigh, because we're not friends anymore. We've been hearing noises, seeing our stuff disappearing and reappearing...seeing things and feeling chills all the time. I promise you that this is all true. I learned a valuable lesson: that ouija boards aren't something to play around with. They are very dangerous, and can mess up your life.
