Moving Blinds

November 19, 2007

On November 19, 2007 I received an e-mail from Roxan about an interesting ouija board experience:

Hi, my name is Roxan of Manila, Phillippines. I want to share my ouija experience with all of you.

This happened 3 to 4 years ago. I was a college student then. We were having a cheering practice and decided to take a break. We stayed in the office of our advisor/professor in Psychology (we are all psychology students,) and currently the Guidance couselor at that time. While resting, one of my classmates, Adam (not his real name), who happens to have the ability to hear something from the unknown and knows tarot reading, asked us if we wanted to try playing the ouija. And because of curiousity, we all agreed to try it. There were approximately 15 to 20 students inside that room. He made an improvised ouija board out of a paper and used a coin as planchette.

We started to play the ouija by letting at least 8 to 10 of our collegues place their finger tips on the coin. Since the coin was small and there were a bunch of curious students there, we let the others experience it first. Here is what happened, as far as my memory can serve me.

Us: Is someone out there who wants to talk to us?
Board: (No reply for 1 to 2 minutes)

Us: Is someone out there who wants to talk to us?
Board: Yes

We started to ask usual questions that the board answered promptly.

Afterwards, the first batch who placed their finger tips let us experience and find out if ouija is really for real.

We asked some questions like what was our lesson with one of our classes that day and got an accurate answer. Then the freakiest thing happened.

Adam: Could you move any objects inside this room to make my classmates believe that ouija is true?
Board: Yes

Take note, all the windows are closed, as well as the door. Electric fans and aircons are also turned off so there's no way any air could get in.

We patiently waited with anticipation while looking around the room, when suddenly 3 lids of the blinds moved!

We were freaked out and amazed at the same time.

That is the start of our ouija adventures. Fisrt year to fourth year psychology students are so into it that when we have time to play ouija, we really grab the opportunity.
