On January 17, 2010 I received an e-mail from Rima about an interesting ouija board experience:


Hi, I'm Rima, and on January 16, 2010, my friends and I, Elizabeth and Isabella, bought a Ouija Board at Target. Elizabeth was shocked to see that Target actually had a Ouija Board! She said it was fake, but once we tried it out, it was real. And this is our story about our first experience with the Ouija Board:

Me: Okay, let's start.
Elizabeth: Okay.

Me: Are there any good spirits that would like to talk to us?
Board: *moves to Yes*

Me: What is your name, if ya don't mind us asking?
Board: *moves to "S"*

Elizabeth: Oookay...
Me: Shutup, Ellie!
Elizabeth: Fine...
Board: *went to Goodbye*

Elizabeth: That was awkward.
Isabella: Guys, I'm freaked out. Let's just stop.
Me: No! Anyway, are there any more good spirits that would like to speak with us?
Board: *moves to Yes*

Me: What is your name?
Board: Wil

Elizabeth: So it's Wil, or William.
Me: Is your name William?
Board: *moves to Yes*

Elizabeth: Can we call you William?
Board: *moves a tiny space from Yes, then back to Yes.*

Me: Do you like us?
Board: Yes

Me: Great!! We like you too!
Elizabeth and Isabella: *laughs*

We eventually asked how old William is or was, and he was 19 when he died from a car accident. It was the year of 1976. He had a girlfriend named Lucy, who was 18, and we all cried (tears of joy). He says Lucy had black or brown curly hair and blue eyes. He says that is the reason he likes the color blue, and we all cried again. He and Lucy dated for 5 years. He wanted to propose to her, but you know what happened. William was a store clerk for 2 years. I (Rima), have an imaginary friend named Max, (I know it's silly) and I made him his own room next to mine. William claims he is friends with Max, and has been in his room for 7 months. William says he has brown hair and green eyes. His favorite hobby was reading. I asked if William liked my dad, and he said no! Then we all laughed. We asked if William saw the movie "Paranormal Activity," and he said yes. He said he watched it on DVD with us downstairs. We all laughed again. William said he will try to protect us. And we all said, "Awww! Yay! Thank you William!" He says he knows my dog, Flowerbell, and he does not like her. He says he has been in my room, then said it was messy! We all laughed again. He says bad spirits cannot hurt us if we believe in good. I asked if he liked my phone case, and he said it was too girly and does not like it. We all laughed, and said goodbye to get some In-N-Out for lunch. William is very sweet and friendly. Isabella counted the years of Lucy, and she has discovered that Lucy is 52 years old right now. William says he misses Lucy and his family. I won't forget William! He's such a nice spirit!
