On March 19, 2003 I planned a "contact the dead" party with Amanda, John, and Ryan. This was our first time using the antique 1920's Ouija board.
We used the board for about one hour and thirty-three minutes, and during that time we talked with several spirits. I left my digital recorder on while we were using the board, so I have the exact questions we asked. Here are the answers we received:
Beth: Is anyone in the room with us?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Who are you?
Board: Harold (Harold is my great uncle's name...he just died in September, 2002)
Beth: Is it OK for us to talk to you?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Is there anything you want to tell us Harold?
Board: Yes
Beth: What do you want to tell us?
Board: Rest
Ryan: Are you resting where you are?
Board: No
Ryan: Why aren't you resting?
Board: Farm
Beth: Are you worried about the house?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Why didn't you talk to anyone when you were alive?
Board: Dale (Dale is my grandfather, Harold's brother)
Beth: Is it because of the fight you had with your brother?
Board: Yes
Beth: What was the fight about?
Board: Land and mom

Board: I took care
Ryan: Did you take care of your mom?
Board: Yes
Beth: You thought the land should be yours because you took care of her?
Board: Yes
Amanda: Is Beth moving this?
Board: No
Ryan: Should we be talking to you, is this dangerous?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Why is it dangerous?
Board: Others
Ryan: Are there others in the room with us now?
Board: Yes
Beth: Are they good or bad?
Board: Half
Ryan: Is there anyone else besides Harold with us?

Ryan: Anyone who came with Ryan?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Do they have a name?
Board: BK (after spelling BK the board stopped)
Ryan: Do you want to try to spell that again?
Board: Grandpa
Ryan: What is your name?
Board: George (Ryan's great grandfather's name was George)
Ryan: What's your last name?
Board: the board spelled out Ryan's great grandfather's last name, which is different than his last name...which means the rest of us wouldn't have been able to guess his last name and move the planchette!
Ryan: Why are you following me?
Board: akgnlove
Ryan: Does it have something to do with Granny?
Board: yes
Ryan: What was your address?
Board: 53 Dasy (this really was his address!)
Amanda: Is anyone following me?
Board: Seth
Ryan: Who is Seth?
Board: Spirit
Ryan: Are you helping Amanda?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Is there something you want to tell her?
Board: Yes
Ryan: Can you spell out what you want to tell her?
Board: Hang in there
Ryan: Did anyone come with John?
Board: (no movement)
John: Is there anyone following me?
Board: Yes
John: Who would that be?
Board: Fuck
John: Are you evil?
Board: No
John: We don't want to talk to you, so leave!

Board: June (Mary June is Ryan's grandmother)

John: Did you make me drop that glass today?
Board: Yes
Amanda: Are you lying?
Board: no
John: Are you the one who made me trip in the staircase yesterday?
Board: Yes
John: Why don't you pick on someone else instead of me?
Board: Easy

Board: yes (spelled out instead of going to the upper left hand corner - Dug liked to spell!)
John: Do you pick on anyone else at work?
Board: no
Amanda: Are you going to Philadelphia with John?
Board: yes
John: How did you find me?
Board: Watching you dumbass
Ryan: What's going to happen with the second bedroom in the condo this weekend?
Board: Not clean
John: Am I going to end up marrying Sarah?
Board: yes
John: Is it because I'm an idiot?

Ryan: How old were you when you died?

John: How did you die?
Board: a buggy

Beth: Could you tell me who's knocking over the candleholders?

Amanda: Do you know Beth?
Board: yes

Board: Ralph (I called my parents and found out that my dad's dad was Frank Ralph)
Amanda: Are you joking with us?
Board: no
Amanda: Well, why do you keep knocking the candleholders over?
Board: So you don't forget the Santore family (this sentence was spelled out REALLY fast and my hands weren't even on the planchette most of the time since I was still on the phone!)
Beth: Should my mom come over?
Board: No
Beth: Why not?
Board: She would be scared
Ryan: Do I have any spiritual guides with me?
Board: yes
Ryan: What's your name?
Board: Dug
John: You follow Ryan too?
Board: I follow all
Amanda: How can he follow all of us?
Board: Rotate
John: What days do you have me?
Board: MIW
John: Hey, what's your last name Dug?
Board: Hole
Amanda: Are you lying?
Board: No
All of us laughed about talking to a spirit named "Dug Hole" ?
Board: Redneck (spelled out while we were laughing)
John: Hey, what did you do for a living Dug?
Board: Ditches
Ryan: Is George still here?
Board: Yes
Ryan: What did I find when I was about eleven years old in your cabinet when you died? I kept them for a long time
Board: Kane
Ryan: What else did I find in your workshop?
Board: bobnh
John: Can you respell it?
Board: yes
John: Ok, go ahead.
Board: mondugdug
Beth: Is this Dug?
Board: Yes
John: Hey Dug, are you attached to this board?
Board: yes
John: How come you didn't talk the last time?
Board: I was busy fucking
Ryan: Who?
John: It wasn't me was it?
Board: no
Amanda: Are you the reason the lady sold the board so cheap?
Board: yes
Beth: Do you like to share?
Board: no
Beth: Will we only be able to talk to you if we use this board?
Board: no
John: But a lot of the time it will be you?
Board: Yes
John: Hey, what's your final thing you're going to tell us tonight?
Board: Piss off
It'll be interesting to see whether or not we do end up talking with Dug Hole again!
