The Old Colony Burying Ground is located on the east side of South Main Street, about two blocks south of West Broadway Street, in Granville, Ohio (Granville Township, Licking County). The coordinates are 40° 3' 54.79" N, 82° 31' 12.35" W.
The Old Colony Burying Ground was established in 1805. The last burial was on November 11, 1935 (James P Milne, a World War I veteran). There are several war veterans buried in the cemetery, including some Revolutionary War veterans.
There are several stacks of broken gravestones in the cemetery. However, there is a restoration in progress, and many of the damaged monuments have been repaired. It's amazing to see how much better the cemetery looks.
