The Old Basil Cemetery is located on the south side of OH-256, about a ½ mile west of OH-158) in Baltimore, Ohio (Liberty Township, Fairfield County). The coordinates are 39° 50' 42.31" N, 82° 36' 46.54" W.

Old Basil Cemetery is rather large, and it is no longer active. More recent graves can be found in Basil Memorial Cemetery/New Basil Cemetery. Old Basil Cemetery is very well maintained by the township, and most of the gravestones are in excellent shape.

**UPDATE** In June 2006 the Old Basil Cemetery was vandalized. Several gravestones were damaged, two nights in a row. If you know any information regarding those responsible for vandalizing the cemetery, please contact the Baltimore Police Department at 740-862-4205. A reward is being offered.
