That's all for this week. As I mentioned in the last update post, the ouija board and visitor submissions sections have been removed from the site. I'll still be adding plenty of new content weekly though. And don't forget that you can share your photos and stories on the site's message board.

With that said, thanks so much for stopping by! Please check back soon for more new pages.

July 9, 2010:

There is a new update coming soon...I promise!

I was hoping to have new pages ready to add this week, but it has taken me a little longer than expected. Definitely sometime next week though.

There will be two big changes to the site: I will be removing the visitor submission and ouija board sections. This was a difficult decision to make, but I feel it is necessary. There are several reasons, mostly time related issues. I also want to shift the site's focus to be even more on cemeteries. While many of the visitor contributions were cemeteries, there were just to many issues with photos not being sent in the proper format, without location information...as well as many being stolen from other sites. And then there is the issue of people deciding they don't want their photos posted anymore, and the time spent making those modifications. I still appreciate seeing the photos visitors send in, so I do welcome visitors to post those photos on the site's message board. That will actually provide for a more interactive experience with other visitors too! Also, there is a forum for ouija stories on the message board, so I encourage visitors to post their stories there.

Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!

That's all for this week. I'm almost caught up on my e-mail now, so it shouldn't take too long to get a response from me. Updates to the site might be bi-weekly or monthly instead of weekly for a few months: I am the chair for the 2010 Association for Gravestone Studies Conference, which will take place at Denison University in Granville, Ohio June 22-27, 2010. AGS conferences are a terrific way to learn new things about gravestone related topics, and you always meet others who share the same fascination with old gravestones. Registration is now open, and information can be found on the AGS website.

With that said, thanks so much for stopping by! Please check back soon for more new pages.
