Automatic Writing

August 19, 2009

On August 19, 2009 I received an e-mail from Mark H. about an interesting ouija board experience:

I'm confused that religious folk say only God knows the future, and that spirits merely try to predict it. But how come they are so accurate?

Back in 1992, when I was unemployed, the DSS sent me to this place in town which specialised in getting people back into work. It was very laid back there, and the building was huge, so one afternoon, I decided to explore.

I found an abandoned office and thought it was the perfect opportunity to try a bit of automatic writing. It had worked very easily for me. I put pencil to paper and asked if anyone had something to tell me. I relaxed and wrote "CAR ACCIDENT." Since it was a bit of bad news, I ended the session right there.

Anyway, it was a sunny day so I decided to walk home. I got home and had dinner when I suddenly felt like looking out the window. My house was on the corner of a busy junction. Well, when I did, two cars collided!

This freaked me out, and to this day I have never done automatic writing again.
