On May 3, 2009 I received an e-mail from Mackenzie M. about an interesting ouija board experience:


My story happened May 2, 2009 with Mackenzie, Alison, Jess, Taylor, Breyn, and Jason.

We went outside near my neighbor's driveway at about 11:00 PM. We started to do an Ouija session. We sat down in a circle with Jess and Taylor in the middle. We all said a spirit invocation we found on a website. They started to put their fingers on the planchette and relaxed.

Jess: Are there any spirits amoungst us?
Board: Yes

Jess: Do you want to talk to Jason? (A first time ouija user and skeptic)
Board: Yes

(Taylor and Jason switch positions)

Jason: Are there any spirits with us today?
Board: Yes

Jason: Do you drink beer?
Board: Yes

(Jason says "the's the man")

Jason: What year did you die?
Board: 64

Jess: Did you mean 1964?
Board: Yes (board starts moving quicker)

Jason: At what age?
Board:56

(A car goes by and Jason suggests moving to my front porch where we won't be bothered. We quickly take the board to the front and continue)

Jess: Are you still there?
Board: Yes

Jason: Where do you live?
Board: TEXDA

Jess: Would you like to try again?
Board: No movement

Jason: What is your name?
Board: Hu

Jess: Do you mean your name is Hue?
Board: Yes

Jess: Do you like Jason?
Board: circles to yes, then maybe

Jess: Do you like Breyn?
Board: (circles) maybe

Jess: Do you like Mackenzie?
Board: Eh, Yes.

Jess: Do you want to talk to anybody else? (Taylor and Alison start having a side conversation)
Board: Shut up

Us: Goodbye
