Believer

December 27, 2009

On December 27, 2009 I received an e-mail from Lisa Gates about an interesting ouija board experience:

This is a TRUE story and I share it to this day...my daughters have most recently shown an interest in experimenting with a Ouija board. I will probably buy them one!

Many years ago, when I was about 17, some friends and I were in a room with our Ouija board. The boys were skeptics and thought we were silly to even waste our time using it. One of the boys told us a question to ask it: What was my great-grandma's name? So we asked it, and it quickly spelled out "Garnet." The answer was true, so much that all the boys left the room and were pretty freaked out. The brothers told us that their great-grandmother and her sisters were all named after gemstones, Garnet being the oldest. The other names were Pearl, Opal, and Ruby. I am a believer!
