Johnson Cemetery is located 500 feet southeast of the intersection of OH-29 and OH-560 outside Crayon, Ohio (Concord Township, Champaign County). The coordinates are 40° 11' 49.92" N, 83° 51' 32.29" W.

Johnson Cemetery is small, and it is no longer active. Most of the gravestones are in good condition, although a few of the older ones have been damaged. It does appear that some restoration efforts have been done though. The cemetery is very well maintained by the township.

I wasn't aware before visiting, but Richard Stanhope is buried at this cemetery. The inscription on his monument contains information about him:

REVOLUTION AND FAITHFUL
CHIEF OF SERVANTS FOR
GENERAL GEORGE WASHINGTON
AT MT. VERNON

BORN FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA
MARCH 1, 1748
DIED NEAR URBANA, OHIO
SEPTEMBER 20, 1862

There is also a plaque, placed by the Daughters of the American Revolution:

SETTLER IN MADISON COUNTY, OHIO
ON VIRGINIA MILITARY LAND
RESIDENT OF CONCORD TOWNSHIP
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, OHIO
DIED SEPTEMBER 1862
BURIED IN CONCORD TOWNSHIP
