East Poultney Cemetery is located between Town Hill Road and VT-140 in Poultney, Vermont (Rutland County). The coordinates are 43° 31' 39" N, 73° 12' 1" W.
East Poultney Cemetery was established in 1777. There are many old gravestones with interesting verses and detailed carvings. The majority of the monuments are marble. There are several stones carved by Enos Clark, William Denison, Luther Perkins, and H. Hawley. Some of the monuments have been damaged, but most are still in good condition. The cemetery grounds are very well maintained.
Many thanks to Ta Mara C. for visiting this cemetery with me.
