Emmeli B. sent me the following e-mail about this abandoned sanatarium:
Me, my boyfriend, and a friend visited this old abandoned sanatarium last weekend.
It was a sanatarium until 1963, and since then it had been a rehab center among other things. But since the mid 1990's it has been empty, going from ownership to ownership. Right now it's owned by a man who plans to renovate it and make it into a temporary home for berrypickers from Poland in the fall.
Many things have been planned for an amazing building, but none of them have gone through. Sadly enough, it has been vandalized by kids/teens, and has lost some of it's former glory. Still, it's really great to visit, and we're going there again to wander the whole building.
