On January 6, 2008 I received an e-mail from Dan Cayo about an interesting ouija board experience:
I have an experience from 1997-98 that still sticks with to this day. I was 17, about to turn 18, when I got into the Ouija heavily. I've regularly talked to a spirit named Henry. I have yet, in 10 years, to ask him if he is my spirit guide as suggested by your site, as I've only been familiar with the term for about 7 years. Henry told me to find Jesus, which he says I have even though I don't go to church. Which confirms the fact that it's your beliefs that define you and not necessarily your actions.
On numerous occasions, something or someone spoke through my alarm clock. Once while watching a movie in my bedroom back in 1998, I think it was a prison movie like Malcolm X or something, and another time while not plugged in in my new house in 2001, which spooked my sisters. It was not battery operated. It's an older digital alarm clock. In fact, it doesn't tune in to radio stations very well any more so it's sitting in the trash. I thought about keeping it, but you can't keep everything laying around you know...
Well, in 1998, I had feelings for a girl I had recently met. I introduced her to a best-friend in an attempt to gain his approval. Weeks later, he came upstairs to my room to ask me if he could take her to the prom. I was so furious, I remember clenching the arms of the chair and perspiring heavily. I don't remember even looking at him. He had done this before. As he left my room and headed down the stairs, the light fixture shattered above his head. He asked the others in my room if I had done it, but I thought Henry or some other spirit had done it. I guess it could have been a combination of both.
I still have a piece of that broken glass as reminder of the importance of focusing energy in a positive manner. We're both married and still friends to this day.
