On November 2, 2009 I received an e-mail from an anonymous website visitor about an interesting ouija board experience:


This happened years ago, back in the 1980's. My friend and I were doing the Ouija board to try and find out the Grand National winner (the race was the next day). The board spelled out the name of a horse (I cannot recall the name now).

The next morning we bought the newspaper and checked for this name amongst the horses running. The name was not there on the list. I laughed and said to my friend, "What did you expect?"

But...a little while later, (it was either weeks or months, I can't remember now) my friend was reading the paper one night, after work, and saw the name of that horse which the board had spelled out. That horse had won the IRISH Grand National!!

Of course it was too late for either of us to put money on that horse. But it was one of the weird experiences connected with the Ouija board (there were yet to be others, but I didn't know it at that time).
