On May 28, 2009 I received an e-mail from an Annabelle about an interesting ouija board experience:


My friend Emily and I were at her house with the ouija board in her cellar. We were in darkness because her board is glow in the dark. It was on Halloween last year. I read in a book that they sometimes pretend to be people that they aren't really, so me and Emily were very careful.

Emily: I summon good spirits, and good spirits only. If there are any bad spirits here, leave now. If there are any good spirits here, please move to yes.
Board: yes

Annabelle: Hello, are you a good spirit?
Board: yes

Annabelle: What is your name?
Board: Jess

Annabelle: How did you die?
Board: Bu-

Emily: If you were going to say burn, please go to yes.
Board: yes.

Emily: We are sorry to hear that. Did you die in this house?
Board: yes

Annabelle: Was it in this cellar?
Board: yes

Emily: When was this?
Board: G (board moving faster and faster) E T O U T

Emily: Are you a bad spirit?
Board: (doesn't move)

Annabelle: Jess, are you ok?
Board: My name is not Jess. (board moving fast to each letter)

Annabelle: So you lied to us?
Board: Yes you are stupid.

Emily: What is your name?
Board: Olivia

Annabelle: Could you please leave us?
Board: Why?

Annabelle: Your presence is no longer needed.
Board: No I will stay you leave

Emily: OH SHNAP!! Can you answer a few more questions and be truthful?
Board: LEAVE NOW

Annabelle: How old are you really?
Board: leave or you will get hurt.

Emily: We will not hurt you. We are kind people.
Board: but i will hurt you.

Annabelle: What is your real name?
Board: Even and I will get you (cellar door flies open)

Emily: I summon all spirits good and bad to leave now and never come back.
