Friend's Grandpa Makes Contact

January 5, 2010

On January 5, 2010 I received an e-mail from Amed M. about an interesting ouija board experience:

One night my friends and I decided that we wanted to play Ouija. So we did the typical: set out the living room and made a circle. It was 5 of us, 4 of who decided to actually touch the planchette, and one of my friends (Evan) did not want to play, so he sat out and watched. I'm usually the one who is the medium, since everyone else doesn't know how to properly use the board, and I am the most spiritual out of them I'd say.

So we call out to the board and asked if there was anyone who would want to speak to us through the board. We got ahold of a spirit. It didn't tell us his name, but I started to ask it questions. I don't remember ALL of the details that night, since it was a while back, but I remember the gist of it.

So I started with asking it if he knew anyone here with us, and it said yes. Then we asked who did he know, and he spelled out E-V. Then we asked it if he knew Evan? The board said yes. Note that Evan wasn't anywhere near the board, and it is weird that, that night, Evan decided not to play. We continued on, and we asked it how he knew Evan, and it said F-A-M. We were all surprised, as none of us knew that Evan had a family member that had passed away before. We started asking it what year was he born, and he answered (don't remember exact date). And we also asked it when did he die, and he also answered (don't remember exact date). So we asked the spirit if there was anything that he wanted to say to Evan. The board said YES. We asked what, and it spelled out T-H-E-A-T-R-E. Now, what was weird was that none of us knew what he was talking about BUT Evan. Turned out that Evan was an actor in middle school. Evan just sat quietly on the couch.

To me it seems like spirits can also implant thoughts into your head, so I was getting full phrases when the board was just paraphrasing. Then the board wanted to know why Evan quit acting. Evan still sat on the couch quietly, kind of scared, but ahold of his feelings. I asked the board if there was anything else he wanted to say to Evan, and it answered, I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U. Then it went to goodbye. The whole conversation lasted about 25 minutes, and Evan was very much in disbelief, because of how the spirit knew that Evan was an actor once.

Evan was still in disbelief. So the day after he called his dad, who lived in Pennsylvania (we are in Texas). He started to talk to his dad about how he did Ouija the night before, then asked him about his grandpa (because he wasn't so sure of the dates either). He asked when his grandpa was born and when he died. His dad told him everything, and everything was right. Then what was even weirder was that as Evan told him about the Ouija board experience he had the night before, that's when his dad was telling him about how last night, and how that's funny because yesterday was the day that his grandpa had died.
